The fuel tank is used in boilers with a system for feeding and transporting solid fuel (pellet, eco-pea coal). The tanks are selected according to the size of the boiler and the power of the feeder. All bunkers have a hole with a flap through which the appropriate type of fuel is poured and are attached to the feeder pipe with a frame dedicated to the feeder of a given company.
In order for the fuel tanks to fulfill their function well, they are also equipped with:
- seals under the upper flap (thanks to the seals, there is no leakage of the feeder system with the boiler, which
- would cause the smoke to flow back from the outside of the tank to the boiler room),
- closing hooks,
- hinges and shock absorbers for easy opening of the hatch,
- ergonomic handle,
- gasket under the tank frame.
Fuel tanks can come in different colors, thanks to which they are matched to the boiler you have, which translates into aesthetics. Painting the tank also increases its resistance and durability.
In order for the storage tank to fulfill its function as long as possible, only dry fuel should be used.
