Buffer accumulation tank PELLPAL V-300 with a capacity of 300 liters

The PELLPAL V-300 buffer is used in central heating systems where the excess heat generated by the heating device, e.g. must be picked up and held for use at a later time. Thanks to accumulation tanks, we have the possibility of accumulating the generated thermal energy accumulated in the heating medium, e.g. water, and using it when the heat demand arises. PELLPAL buffers have been tested by the Office of Technical Inspection.

The accumulation tank is a device made of sheet metal in a welded version. The construction of the tank has a cylindrical shape in a vertical position set on supports (legs) with adjustment screws for PELLPAL V 200-800 tanks, which enable leveling and vertical setting. PELLPAL V 60-140 tanks are designed for vertical hanging installation and have prepared assembly and construction elements. The cylindrical part (jacket) is closed on both sides with flat bottoms stiffened with bends and reinforcing ribs. The tank has a set of connection stubs: supply and return spigots on the side of the boiler and the heating system, as well as drain, measuring and additional - universal (as an option). Elements of the construction of the tank are shown in the attached diagram in the gallery.

PELLPAL accumulation buffers can be combined with each other to provide a sufficiently large storage for the generated heat energy. Such a storage also protects the heating system against excessively rapid generation of energy by the central heating boiler. when the standard devices of the connected heating system do not require heating medium. A buffer or a set of buffers ensures safe collection of excess heat generated.

Insulation of the PELLPAL V accumulation tank

The tanks are thermally insulated over the entire surface. The insulation material has been selected so that heat losses are minimal (the temperature of the insulated surface of the tank is approx. 30 OC) with a minimum thickness of the insulation layer. Insulating mats can be covered with sheet metal or protected with a special cover made of a plastic bag. For the time of transport to the installation site (boiler room, basement), the insulation and the insulation cover can be removed and put back on after the tank is installed. Be careful not to damage the insulation and cover during disassembly and reassembly.

Accumulation tanks for central heating boilers

Buffer tanks, otherwise known as heat accumulators, accumulation tanks or colloquially buffers, are adapted to store only inert neutral liquids, i.e. treated and demineralized boiler water. They can cooperate with various heat sources in central heating systems, such as: solid fuel boilers, fireplaces with a water jacket, heat pumps, solar systems, etc. - only as heat accumulators. Accumulation tanks are designed to store periodic excess energy in the event of fluctuating demand for heat for heating purposes. The use of the tank makes full use of the heat generated in the combustion process and reduces fuel consumption compared to the system without the tank. The heat energy generated in the boiler is transferred via the heating medium to the insulated accumulation tank. It can be used later as the heat demand for the heating system increases. Thanks to the use of heat buffers, the energy stored in the tank can be consumed by the heating system for several hours.
